From April 27 to April 28, 2022, China, as the chair of BRICS, held the 12th Meeting of BRICS Working Group on Agriculture in Beijing.

The meeting was held online, at which all sides reported progress on the implementation of the Action Plan 2021-2024 for Agricultural Cooperation of BRICS Countries. BRICS representatives reviewed and adopted proposals on the Agenda of the 12th Meeting of BRICS Agriculture Ministers. The working group meeting also consulted on the Draft Joint Declaration of the 12th Meeting of BRICS Agriculture Ministers and discussed on the relevant outcome documents on food security.
