All parties agreed that the current international landscape is undergoing complex changes and the situation in the Middle East is undergoing complicated adjustments. BRICS countries need to step up communication and coordination to promote security, stability and development in the Middle East and prevent regional turmoil from undermining international peace. We should promote the political settlement of regional hotspot issues and resolve conflicts and disputes through dialogue. We should advocate multilateralism and support the United Nations in playing a leading role in settling disputes. We should alleviate the regional humanitarian situation, oppose unilateral sanctions and help regional development and recovery. We should take firm actions against terrorist and extremist forces and safeguard common security.

The joint statement was adopted at the meeting, which made the common voice of BRICS countries in jointly defending the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, maintaining peace and stability in the Middle East, and promoting a just and reasonable settlement of hotspot issues.
