Chinese President Xi Jinping will host the 14th BRICS Summit in Beijing on June 23, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Friday.

When answering a question from CMG at Friday's press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said that this year is the BRICS' "China Year". China has successfully held over 70 meetings and events, covering political, security, economic, trade, financial, people-to-people and cultural fields as well as sustainable development and public health.
